Here I thought it would be fairly easy to make a blog for and about women. The woman-to-woman talk was an idea I had as I have met many women in my social surroundings who has various problems.

Its purpose is to make a place for us women to share, gripe and what ever else we need. Like giving each other advice on things in our lives we couldn’t seem to handle alone.

Many times it does help asking others for advice in my opinion, at the same time I don’t really want this to be a “dear Abby” website either. Controversial for sure, wanting and getting are, as we all know two very different things. I have to say though that my biggest wish is to have a website where women from all walks of life, no matter skin color, can come and air their thoughts. And also ask for advice if they need one.

My background for wanting all this is that I am from Denmark, Europe and I have been in many a situation after immigrating to the States, where it would have been nice to have some one to share with. I guess what I am looking for is friends who will be there when needed.

One other thing is that when I get excited about something I am very volatile and tend to express my feelings and enthusiasm with a lot of feeling. Which has led to some of my ‘friends’ to tell me I am very childlike. Well I am sorry, but that is the way I am; when I burn for a cause I burn and get into it all the way.

When that happens, which is often ;-) the people around me tell me; I am weird! Is it weird to really believe in something? Is it weird to want to change what is wrong? If it is then I guess I am way off here as that is one of my “traits”.

I firmly believe that we all have to add our 5 cents when the world seems out of whack.  When there is something we can do something about. That we can do something as little as that might be to help change what is wrong. If we don’t step up to the plate who will? We all need to give a helping hand so that our society can continue to be worth living in.

The woman-to-woman talk will hopefully also become a place where we can share things like tips and such on getting or starting the right job for us. If the need arises I will consider adding a members only forum. Where we can talk about all these things more privately. I know there are plenty of forums out there on the web, but I also think there is room for one more ;-)

If that actually gets to be, then I have found the purpose with all this. With your help of course without you there isn’t going to be a forum or a website for that matter. I have had the woman-to-woman talk up running about a year ago, but I didn’t have a set idea about what I wanted it to be. I do now, as I think there is a need for a place like this.
